Summary

This chapter has presented the results of the simulations described in the previous chapter. TDEV and MTIE data for each of the three clock models have been reproduced. The results of simulating a maximum reference chain by cascading both the original and extended models have also been given. The filtering characteristic of a Synchronisation Supply Unit has been illustrated. Data illustrating a problem with the specification of filter A has been presented. Finally the use of certain multi-rate blocks in SPW have been examined. The next chapter goes on to summarise the main conclusions from this work. It also includes suggestions for future work and summarises the areas in which a contribution has been made to the general problem of SDH synchronisation.
