Intra-node Distribution Architecture

The following section describes the architecture of the network responsible for intra-node distribution of synchronisation signals. For nodes containing Synchronisation Supply Units, the architecture is depicted in figure 2.2.

It can be seen from the diagram that the network has a logical star topology. Within a node, all the lower level clocks derive their synchronisation form the signal provided via the highest hierarchical clock level.
