Results

Simulating the above in SPW yielded the results depicted in figure 8.22.

It can be seen that the noise shaped by filter A is producing TDEV at a constant level (as is indicative of flicker phase noise) of 1ns rather than the $\sqrt{f_0}=0.0022ns$ predicted by theory. This leads to the theory that

i.e. the factor f0 in equation (2.2) has been erroneously neglected in equation (2.1).
