Theoretical Analysis of the TDEV Produced by the ETSI Noise Model

 In this chapter results from the previous two chapters will be used to obtain expressions for the TDEV of the noise generated by the two branches of the model. Subsequently, approximate values for the gain elements K_f and K_w that allow the model to satisfy the TDEV mask specified in the ETSI standard will be obtained. This will allow the shape of the masks to be explained. It will be seen that the approximations obtained are in reasonable agreement with those published. The chapter concentrates on TDEV rather than MTIE as it allows the noise sources inherent in the model to be characterised.
