Performance Comparison of Different Loop Orders

In this section, both the ability to reject external noise as well as the effectiveness in which a phaselock loop can track frequency deviations will be examined. This will allow performance comparisons of different loop orders to be made. It will subsequently be shown in section 5.3 that the ETSI nose model can be interpreted at a first order phaselock loop. This chapter presents theory as to the appropriateness of such an implementation.
